October 9th 2010 – A flight on board of a Bell 407 Helicopter                 It was a very nice birthday present I received from a very special lady friend that offered me the chance to attend a maiden flight on board of a Bell 407 helicopter. (Reg. OO-EMP). I also took the opportunity to invite another very special lady to celebrate her Birthday. Time and place: October 2010 - Spiere – Flanders – Belgium

June 8th 2010 – Lufthansa Airbus A380 lands on EBBR Brussels Airport       After bringing the German National soccer team to South Africa ( For the Soccer World Cup) it made a promotional flight to Brussels Airport on June 8th 2010. Registration number D-AIMA was one of the first A-380’s delivered to Lufthansa. Lufthansa has ordered 15 A380’s.

June 19th 2010 - Koninklijke Luchtmacht (Netherlands) Open Door       The Open Days of the Dutch Air Force took place at the military base at Gilze-Rijen. This is near the Belgian border in the south of Holland. It was all about helicopters that day. Not only did we see about 8 different helicopter types in formation, also the Spanish Patrula Aspa, Flying with Eurocopter Colibri, offered a very nice acrobatic show. Another beautiful bird: the USAF Boeing C-17 Globemaster. You have to admid that our neighbours know how to organise an airshow. Organisation, infrastructure, catering (Mostly Belgian beer ;o) ) and last but not least the program: A.O.K. !

June 26th 2010 - Airbase 103 Cambrai - France - International Airshow         This was my first time I went to France to visit an Airshow. Lot's of  Mirage 2000, Rafale and lot's of very nice Dassault made birds. Specialy the Dassault MD-312 "Flamand", one of the first aeroplanes designed by Dassault in 1950, kept everyonce attention.

Spotting at EBBR, Brussels International Airport         Spotting @ EBBR was a very good year in 2010. Lots of new Airlines and lots of new birds came to Brussels Airport. You can discover Middle East Airlines, Aeroflot's brand new Airbus 319, KLM introducing an Embraer 190, another A-319 from Brussels Airlines with special "Star Alliance" painting to celebrate their membership.
