March 19th 2008 - Brussels Airport Belgocontrol Tower visit - EBBR - Belgium     I had to use a lot of filters with my image editing program this time. That’s because these images were taken trough the large green dyed windows of the Brussels Airport Control Tower. A funny side effect is that it looks like they have been taken during the late sixties, early seventies using a “Kodachrome” 100 ASA first generation analogue color film. Anyway it’s all about the content this time isn’t it?

July 5th 2008 - Belgian Air Force Defense Days - Florennes Air Base - Belgium         A nice Air show with Patrouile De France & Turkish Stars and a typical Belgian weather....

September 14th 2008 - 15th Wing Open door - Melsbroek Air Base - Belgium         Melsbroek Air Base (EBMB) is a Belgian Air Component facility in Zaventem, Belgium. It is located on the northern side of the same site as Brussels Airport, with which it shares runways and ground and air control facilities. The 15th Air Transport Wing operates from Melsbroek Air Base with following types: Airbus A310,  Airbus A330, Dassault Falcon 20, Dassault Falcon 900, Embraer 135 & 145, Lockheed C-130 It’s also the home base for the Federal Police air support helicopters McDonnell Douglas Explorer 900 & 520N.

Spotting @ EBBR Brussels Airport - 2008         Very nice shots of the "Big Birds" taking of from runway 07R. Specially those from the Hainan Airlines A330 with Capt. Elie Franckaert sitting in the left seat... thanks for warning me Elie !
